Site of Templemary Church in N part of graveyard (CO016-19801-). Depicted as rectangular structure (c. 12m WSW-ENE; c. 7m NNW-SSE) on 1842 OS 6-inch map; site of church 'traceable' according to OS Field Books of 1840, E end in 'Benanagh townland' (Grove White 1905-25, vol. 4, 242). Lewis (1837, vol. 1, 236) describes 'the ruins of an ancient church or chapel'. Marked 'site of' on 1842, 1905 and 1937 OS 6-inch maps. No visible surface trace. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000).
