What is recorded here

One of ten fulachta fiadh recorded by Bowman (1934, 385-6) in Curraghs. Exact location not known. Bowman described two in John T. O'Connor's land; one in Jerh. O'Brien's land; two in Wm. Field's land; two in Ml. O'Sullivan's land; one in Mrs O'Connell's land; one in P. O'Connor's land; one in Mr Bluett's land. Two fulachta fiadh (10673, 10674) have been located in the townland. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 14 January 2009

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
