What is recorded here

In pasture, c. 40m NW of spring and at junction of three field fences. Low circular mound of burnt material (diam. 14.7m). Depression in SW quadrant due to removal of burnt material; NE quadrant cut by two field fences which incorporate some burnt material. Probably one of ten fulachta fiadh (see 10240) recorded in townland by Bowman (1934, 72-3). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
