On laneway. Random-rubble front wall (H 4.1m; L 4.45m), facing S, retains earthen core; arched recess (H 1.63m; Wth 1.65m; D 1.55m) with sloping slabs to rear. Funnel infilled. Ramp (L c. 25m) to rear. Second kiln (15030) c. 200m to S of similar appearance except iron bar used in recess. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000).
