Not marked on 1842 and 1904 OS 6-inch maps. Recorded by OS Field Memoranda (1933) as standing stone 2ft 2in H, 1ft 2in wide by 11in. In forestry, on gentle S-facing slope. Stone removed. Probably stone recorded by Bowman (1934, 437) in P. Lane's '...5ft by 2ft 8in by 6in - recumbent'.
