What is recorded here

In pasture, on gentle SE-facing slope. Roughly circular area (50m E-W; 46m N-S) enclosed by two earthen banks with intervening fosse. Inner bank (int. H 1.3m) survives best W->NE. Outer bank (H 1m) incorporated into field fence system WSW->NE; low (H 0.75m) and narrow elsewhere. Faint trace of external fosse to W; intervening fosse deepest on upslope (W->NE). Entrance to SW. Interior slopes gently down to S; shallow depression inside inner bank. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
