What is recorded here

In pasture, atop rise, c. 220m N of Garrane River. Depicted as hachured, roughly circular enclosure (diam. c. 45m) on 1842 and 1903 OS 6-inch maps; as hachured bivallate arc NW->SE on 1936 OS 6-inch map. Roughly circular area (27.8m N-S; 24.5m E-W) enclosed by scarp (H 0.25m); shallow intervening fosse; second bank incorporated into field fence system NNW->SE (H 1.4m), visible as low rise SE->NNW; second shallow intervening fosse; third earthen bank visible as low rise (int. H 0.15m) SSW->NNW. Interior slopes down to SSE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000).
