What is recorded here

In pasture, on break in NW-facing slope and overlooking stream to NE. Oval, slightly raised area (27.2m E-W; 21.3m N-S) enclosed by low earthen bank (max. int. H 0.7m) to S and W; scarp (H 0.85m) elsewhere; external fosse (D 0.6m) to E, W and N. Bank and scarp heavily overgrown. Fosse shallow to N; waterlogged to W. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000).
