In pasture, on S side of drain. Horseshoe-shaped mound of burnt material (15.4m NW-SE; 13m N-S; H 0.5m). Opening (Wth 5.8m) faces NW; lower-lying boggy rectangular area within opening may represent site of trough. Short section of stone walling (L 1.4m; H 0.4m) revets mound on S side of opening. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000).
