What is recorded here

Inside NW wall of graveyard (14614). Well with low circular stone-built surround, now dry and disused with grass and stone dumped into it. According to local information, well dried up when baby with diseased skin was washed in it. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
