What is recorded here

In pasture, on gentle N-facing slope. Depicted as hachured circular enclosure (diam. c. 50m) on 1842 OS 6-inch map, incorporated into field fence system on W side. Levelled; circular area (46.4m E-W; 43.8m N-S) enclosed by low rise (int. H 0.15m) to N, E and S, with shallow external fosse. Evidence for second bank as low rise (H 0.25m) NE->SSW, with shallow outer fosse (D 0.3m) to SE. Break in inner bank (Wth 5.4m) to NNW; shallow depression (L 16.4m) runs southwards from break into interior.
