In pasture, on gentle S-facing slope. Depicted on 1904 and 1936 OS 6-inch maps as hachured arc (C c. 80m) showing scarp NNE->S on 1904 and 1936 OS 6-inch maps; external fosse to E on 1936 OS 6-inch map. Penannular arc (diam. 82m N-S) formed by low rise (int. H 0.1m; ext. H 0.6m) NNW->SSW. According to local information, bank was once higher than at present. Name may suggest it was a church site or was once used as a burial ground. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
