What is recorded here

A holy well situated at ‘An Trá Bheag’ at the bottom of a cliff in Oughterard townland on the Loop Head peninsula is noted in Dinnseanchas III (p. 102, 104, 107) available at https://www.logainm.ie. The precise location of this well is unknown. This information was reported to the National Monuments by Micheál MacGearailt. Compiled by: Mary Tunney Date of upload: 27 January 2021

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
