On the N bank of the Shannon estuary adjacent to Meelick townland. Described by O’Sullivan (2001, 303) as a medieval or post medieval ‘post alignment (widely spaced posts), oriented NNW-SSE, 48m long, situated in firm, gently sloping estuarine clays on N back of estuary.
