Ringfort (CL056-044001-) is named 'Lisnaleagaun' on the OS 6-inch map. Westropp (1909, 116) notes that this translates as 'the fort of the pillar stone'. There is no standing stone evident, however on inspection in 2003 the landowner described a large standing stone lying just a few metres outside the S sector of the ringfort. Apparently it had been covered by vegetation for a number of years and was removed and placed against an adjacent field wall.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
