What is recorded here

Situated in an area of undulating fertile pasture which slopes gently towards the sea. There are good views from the monument and it is itself visible from some distance away. A narrow headland (Wth 10m; L 25m) is cut off on the landward side by a curving earthen bank and fosse. The bank (Wth 3.6m; H 0.8m above the interior) is round-topped. The fosse is clearest at E (Wth 2.2m; D 0.25m). A cattle gap crosses the defences at the W cliff edge. The interior is featureless and rocks jutting out from it suggest that it was once longer that it is now. (Casey 1999, 191, Clare 20) Compiled by: Mary Tunney Date of upload: 21 September 2016
