A number of field walls occur on Mooghaun hill representing more than one phase of land enclosure. In the SE quadrant of the inner enclosure of Mooghaun hillfort (CL042-074001-), two walls (CL042-074028- and CL042-074029-) are likely to be ancient features. One wall (CL042-074029-), represented by an irregular bank of collapsed limestone blocks, extends 45m from c. 4m W of the central cairn (CL042-074013-) SW almost to the rampart.
