On a slight rise in a low-lying landscape. Listed as 'rectangular enclosure' in the SMR (1992) and the RMP (1996). A rectangular grass-covered area (dims. 50m E-W; 40m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (5.3m; int. H 0.1m; ext. H 0.8m) at N and scarps (H 0.6-0.9m) on the other sides. A fosse (Wth 1-1.4m generally to 4m at E) separates it from an earthen bank (Wth 10.5m; int. H 0.7m; ext. H 0.7m) at S which is incorporated into field banks at E (Wth 3m; H 3m) and N (Wth 4m; H 0.4m) and overlain by a farm track (Wth 3.6m; H 0.4-0.7m) at W. A causewayed entrance (Wth c. 4m) at the SW angle is probably not original.
