What is recorded here

On flat ground on the NW side of a NE-SW ridge, and c. 130m NNW of Kilmurry Church (CL038-010001-). Named on the OS maps in Gothic script as 'Tobermurry' (from Muire) and described in the Ordnance Survey Letters as a defunct holy well (O'Flanagan 1928, vol. 1, 346). On inspection in 2002 this was found to be a natural pool (diam. c. 4m) with a stream running off to NNW. There were no remaining structures and it was not known locally as a holy well.
