What is recorded here

On a very gentle SSW-facing slope, in rough pasture, overlooking a gently undulating landscape in all directions and abutting a levelled enclosure (CL035-127001-) to SW. Depicted on the 25-inch OS map as a circular area (32m N-S; 33.5m E-W) defined by what appears to be a double enclosing element. These are very low in profile and are completely covered in an impenetrable thicket of briars and furze. The interior is covered in dense rushes (H 0.8m) with briars and furze encroaching around the perimeter. There is a gap in the vegetation at SW and W allowing access into the interior. Three large rocks which are evident at the SW edge of the monument may have derived from the former field boundary at this location. There is no apparent outer fosse. Ringforts (CL035-126---- and CL035-128----) are located c. 45m to SW and c. 120m to NE, respectively. The following images have been uploaded: CL035-127002-_01.jpg From SW. General view into the interior. CL035-127002-_02.jpg From SE. Area of levelled enclosing elements obscured by briars (between 2 x 2m rods). CL035-127002-_03.jpg From NW.
