What is recorded here

In improved pasture, on a generally level area of a gentle SW-facing slope with reasonable views of the surrounding landscape. This feature is not named on any OS historic mapping. Described as, ‘a possible standing stone (limestone) …located in the field wall (running SW-NE) at the inner edge of the bank of the levelled enclosure (CL035-013001-)’ (North Munster Project, Discovery Programme 1997). On inspection in 2017 there is no extant field wall at this location and there is no such standing stone visible at ground level. A levelled enclosure (CL035-013001-) is located c. 15m to NW and a megalithic structure (CL035-013003-) formerly stood c. 22m to W.
