A watermill, in the precinct of the Franciscan Friary (CL033-082001-) was granted to James Neylon in 1570 and the friary with all its appurtenances including the mill were conveyed to William Dongan in 1621. The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
