Situated within Ennis Friary (CL033-082001-). A wedge-shaped limestone slab (L 1.72m; Wth at W 0.6m; Wth at E 0.42m), with rough edges and broken in two across the middle lies set into the floor c. 1m from the N wall of the sacristy with its head to the W. This medieval slab is the earliest known graveslab from the Friary. It is not in its original position and has several 19th-century graveslabs and occasional uninscribed and undated slabs set into the ground adjacent to it. A single-lined incised cross rising from a stepped base runs the length of the slab but the top of the cross is completely worn away. (Bradley, Halpin and King 1988, 74)
