What is recorded here

Situated on an undulating karst landscape. Listed in the RMP (1996) as 'House - 17th century, possible'. Weir (1986, 89-90) states that the original part of this house at the rear may be 17th century in date. On inspection in 2000 this was found to be a three-bay two-storey house with large windows most likely of 19th century date. No evidence of an earlier date was noted. Archaeological testing (Licence no. 02E0566) in 2002 (Grant 2004, 42, no. 157) in connection with the outbuildings did not produce any archaeological material.
