What is recorded here

Formerly located in the graveyard (CL028-058002-) at Tuamgraney church (CL028-058001-). One of two cross-slabs found in digging graves and noted by Westropp (1909, 397). This slab had a simple cross with interlaced ends, similar to a cross-slab with inscription (CL029-058004-) known from the same graveyard. The cross on this slab was more carefully sculptured than the other and the slab bore no inscription. The two slabs were taken to a nearby house in the 1940s or 50s and were then lost (Okasha and Forsyth 2001, 113-15). Compiled by: Mary Tunney Date of upload: 15 July 2015
