The record is for the original location of a font. Swinfen (1992, 23) notes ‘About 1855 the bowl of a font was observed in the churchyard; it was square and ornamented with a moulding round the lip and also where it joined the shaft, though the shaft was missing. It was said to be of medieval type. There has been no sign of it for many years.’ The present location of the font is unknown.
