Placed upright on top of the remains of a side chapel built onto the S face of Rath church (CL025-084001-). A limestone slab (Wth 0.68m; H 0.64m; T 0.18m) with an inscription carved in Roman capitals in false relief with the letters IHS overhead. The inscription reads 'This chapel is built by Mor Hogan for a burial place for him and his posterity to whom God be merciful 1696'. The chapel (ext. dims. Wth 4.4m; L 4.68m) is filled in internally to the current wall height (1.1m) and there is an opening into an underground burial chamber under the memorial slab at ground level. The slab was reported to the National Monuments Service by Patrick O'Leary.
