Situated in the village of Whitegate. A rectangular 19th-century Roman Catholic church (ext. dims. 24.58m SE-NW; 10.47m SW-NE). There is a window in the NW gable over the altar area and another window in the SE gable. Four pointed lancet windows with hood mouldings are located in both the SW and NE walls. A wooden gallery supported by carved wooden columns is still in place. The roof is in good condition and has a small cross at one end and a belfry at the other. The church fell out of religious use in 1968 as it was feared the SW wall would collapse. For a number of years boatbuilding took place here. Subsequently the building has been used to house a furniture company and a number of modifications have been made. The original doorway in the SE wall is not extant as it was widened to accommodate the loading of furniture. It has been replaced by a corrugated metal doorway.
