Listed as ‘Enclosure’ in the SMR (1992) with the number CL017-001---- and in the RMP (1996) under CL017-180010-. Visible as a small circular area defined by a solid line on the 1916 OS 6-inch map but shown on the 25-inch OS map (1893) as a pond. On inspection in 1998 the area was found to be a drystone-walled enclosure, probably a sheepfold.
