What is recorded here

In pasture on the crest of a NE-SW ridge flanked by marshy ground to the NW and SE. Hachured on both the first (1842) and Cassini (1916) editions of the OS 6-inch map. Classified as an enclosure in the RMP (1996). A small, oval-shaped cashel (int. diams. 20.2m NW-SE; 15m NE-SW) is defined by the remains of drystone wall on a collapsed stone spread (Wth 2-4.4m; H 0.6-0.8m) into which a later field wall is incorporated from NE-SE-SW. The interior is dished and partially defined by a natural scarp towards the NE, and is covered in collapsed stone and hazel scrub.    Compiled by: Gearóid Conroy and Eve Campbell   Date of upload: 21-10-2025
