Situated in the SSW sector of a cashel (CL017-036----) and described by Westropp (1896, 367; 1913, 253) as ‘a well-defined rock cutting, a tank, or, more probably, a souterrain’. Shown on his plan (1913, 255, Fig. 10) as orientated NNE-SSW (est. L c. 4.5m).
