On the hazel-covered W edge of a karst plateau, with lower improved pastureland to the W. Indicated on the first edition (1842) of the OS 6-inch map and hachured on the later OS 25-inch plan (1897) and Cassini edition (1920) of the OS 6-inch map. Listed as ‘Enclosure’ in the RMP (1996). This small, poorly preserved cashel (int. dims. 16.9m E-W; 15.9m N-S; ext. dims. 19.4m E-W; 18m N-S) is defined by the base of a stone wall (Wth 1-1.2m) incorporating large facing-stones. The wall does not survive from E-S where a NE-SW running laneway passes 2m from the cashel perimeter. There is exposed bedrock in the centre of the cashel. A small pen (int. dims. 1.5m E-W; 1.5m N-S) defined by a drystone wall (H 1.3m) is built on the cashel perimeter at W. A possible enclosure site (CL017-242----) lies c. 55m to the SW.
