On a high (above the 500’ contour), short NE-SW ridge rise in mixed rough pasture and exposed limestone pavement. Indicated and labelled as ‘Cromlechs’ on both the first (1842) and Cassini (1920) editions of the OS 6-inch map. Noted by Borlase (1897, 74-76) but no trace of the monument was subsequently found by Westropp (1905, 215). Listed as ‘Megalithic structure (site)’ in the RMP (1996). There is a cairn (CL017-015003-) c. 42m to the SW, and two wedge tombs in the immediate vicinity: one (CL017-015005-) lies c. 54m to the N and another (CL017-015004-) c. 78m to the WNW.
