What is recorded here

Built on the earlier line of a cashel wall (CL017-014----) at the NE sector, this rectangular house (int. dims. 5.15m NW-SE; 2.9m NE-SW) is defined by a double-faced drystone wall (Wth 0.8m; max. H 1m) with a doorway (Wth 0.6m) in the NW sidewall. Immediately to the NW, a small area (c. 6.4m NW-SE; c. 5m NE-SW) has been cleared of cashel wall stones which have been heaped just to the NW. The structure is mislabelled ‘Sheepfolds’ on the OS 25-inch plan (1897). Compiled by: Gearóid Conroy and Conn Herriott Date of upload: 18 July 2023
