On a gentle N-facing slope overlooking Lickeen Lough in a reclaimed field of long grass to the W of a stream. This is one of two fulachtaí fia recorded by MacMahon (1991, 48) in this townland, see also CL016-151----. No visible surface trace of this one survives. A person who had moved into the area was unaware of a monument at this location but had heard of attempts to preserve a mound at the bottom of the field c. 220m to the NNE, where it was thought the burnt material left over was from a limekiln. That area is now forested and no trace of the mound was evident.
