On a cliff edge, with a ravine to the W, in dense scrub. Hachured on the 1840 and 1916 eds. of the OS 6-inch maps. Listed as ‘enclosure’ in the RMP (1996). Referred to by Westropp (1905, 211) simply as ‘a smaller caher’.
A circular cashel (ext. dims. 35m N-S) defined by a stone spread (Wth 5-8m), which is most substantial from N to E; virtually nothing survives at S where the outer wall-face has been rebuilt as a drystone field wall (H 0.5-1.5m). A wall width (3.3m) was discernible at N. A later field wall is visible in the interior. Another cashel (CL016-096----) is located c. 67m to the SW.
