Named ‘Clogh-an-Airgid’ on the OS 25-inch map on the S side of the Kilnaboy-Leamaneh road. Listed as ‘potential site – name’ on the RMP (1996). The name ‘Clogh-an-Airgid’ is marked on the N side of the road on the 1916 OS 6-inch map. Described by Westropp (1900, 407) as ‘a large rock by the roadside called cloch an airgid, “the stone of the silver”, from some forgotten legend’. On inspection in 1998 this stone was not precisely located. Its purpose is uncertain. ‘Seehaun Inneenboy’ or ‘Inniwee’s seat’ is located c. 10m inside the wall on the N side of the road close to the mapped location of ‘Clogh-an-Airgid’.
