At the E edge of a col in the Leamaneh valley with higher ground to the N and W and sloping ground to the E with extensive views over a basin from E to S. Named ‘Children’s Burial Ground’ on the 1840 and 1916 OS 6-inch maps. Listed as ‘Burial ground’ in the RMP (1996). A D-shaped mound (16.8m E-W; 13m N-S; H 0.3-0.5m) with a straight edge at the W, covered in small stones aligned in E-W rows. The stones are best preserved at the W where the rows are c. 1m apart. The largest stones (H 0.5m, 0.15m x 0.3m; H 0.45m, 0.15m x 0.35m) are place c. 0.85m apart. Compiled by: Mary Tunney and Lynda McCormack Date of upload: 4 May 2022
