This record is for the original location of a high cross (CL045-033009-) from Kilfenora that is now in the cathedral of Killaloe (CL045-033002-). According to Swinfen (1992, 43) it stood in the same field as the West cross (CL016-015005-) until it was moved to Killaloe by Dr Mant, Bishop of Killaloe.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
