On a flat shelf on the W side of a broad ridge with ground rising gently to E and NE. The ground falls away 250m to the Dealagh river to the W and there are beautiful open views to SW and W towards Liscannor Bay. An upright stone (H 1.1m) with an almost square cross-section (0.25m N-S; 0.2m E-W at base; 0.13m N-S; 0.13m E-W at top). The top slopes up very slightly from S to N. The E face undulates markedly as it rises and there are slight undulations on the lower W and lower N sides. The angles are quite polished by farm stock. The stone is heavily blotched with white lichen which covers the base on the S and W faces. The S side also has some yellow lichen. Another standing stone lies c. 265m to the SW.
