What is recorded here

This record is for one of two houses depicted in a townland named ‘Balligady west’ on the Down Survey barony map of Corcomroe (1655-8) viewable at https://downsurvey.tchpc.tcd.ie/down-survey-maps.php. The houses are depicted a short distance SW of a mill (CL015-067----) however their exact location is unknown.    Compiled by: Mary Tunney and Eve Campbell   Date of upload: 28 October 2025

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
