In scrubby pasture on the S-facing slope of a ridge aligned NE-SW c.135m S of the Owennaranny River. Hachured and named ‘Lisfurnel’ on the 1840 and 1916 OS 6-inch maps. Listed as 'Enclosure' in the RMP (1996). A subcircular rath (int. diam. 20–22m N-S) defined by a round-topped earthen bank (ext. H 1-2.15m; int. H 0.25-0.45m; Wth 2.9-3.5m) that has been reduced to a scarp at S, and a steep-sided flat-based fosse (Wth 1.25–7m; ext. H 0.1-0.95m). A gap in the bank (Wth 2m) at NNW aligned with a causeway across the fosse (Wth 7m) indicates the original entrance. The interior is entirely concealed by scrub.
