Abutting the E end of the N wall of Kilkeedy Church (CL011-022003-), in an enclosed graveyard (CL011-022004-) which in turn lies within an ecclesiastical enclosure (CL011-022001-). Indicated as abutting the church on the 1842 and 1920 eds. of the OS 6-inch map. This building (int. dims. 5.86m N-S; 5.15m E-W) is entered through a plain, round-headed doorway (Wth 0.88m; H 1.74m) in the N wall of the church. It is traditionally considered to be the priest’s house (e.g. Westropp 1900-1902), and may include the church sacristy. The building had two floors (total H 4.15m); five corbels in both the E and W walls (H of walls to top of corbels 2.15m) remain from the joist supports for the upper floor. The walls (Wth of E wall 0.87m) are c. 1m higher than the N wall of the church. A gap (Wth c. 0.05m) is developing between the S end of the W wall and the N wall of the church. In the ground floor there is an ogee-headed window (Wth 0.25m; H 1.45m) at the S end of in the E wall, with three leaden bar-holes, hanging-eye, spudstone and long draw-bar socket (L 0.55m) in the S jamb. The window is in a lintelled embrasure. There is also an aumbry (Wth 0.45m; H 0.45m; depth 0.41m) in the E wall. A large table tomb (2.8m E-W; 1.6m N-S; H 0.8m) stands flush with the E side of the church doorway. In the wall over the tomb is a commemorative plaque which reads ‘1706. I.H.S. This tumbe is made by Fa. Con Mullan, for him and his family in his ancestors Chapel. To whom God be merciful.’ On the first floor there is a small rectangular light toward the N end of the W wall and a doorway in the N wall with two putlog holes underneath to support a platform. There is a small light at the centre of the E wall. A gable rises over the N wall. Swinfen (1992, 44) notes the presence of fireplaces.
