On a small NE-SW oriented ridge of exposed limestone which slopes to the N into a small turlough. A possible bawn (24m E-W; min. 17m N-S) located at Kilkeedy Castle tower house (CL011-021002-). It is defined by a double-faced wall (Wth 1.05m; H c. 0.5m; L 12.7m) 8m W of the tower house, by a wall footing just S of a rubble mound to the S of the tower house and at E by a high step (H 0.8m) in the bedrock outcrop that forms a straight edge parallel with the E wall of the tower house (5m away). The centre of the bedrock step forming the E side is indented (Wth 1.6m; D 0.7m) which could be interpreted as an entrance. Outside the E wall is a N-S running shelf (Wth 4m) which may have been a road leading to the tower. A modern entrance (Wth 3.5m) at the SE corner is accessed means of a wide ramp approaching from the SE.
