On a low rise on the W slope of a NE-SW ridge in hazel and rough pasture, commanding views from SSE to NNW. Indicated on the 1842 and 1920 eds. of the OS 6-inch map. This subrectangular cashel (36m NW-SE; 35m NE-SW) is defined by a double-faced wall (Wth 1.8-3.2m; int. H 1-1.2m; ext. H 0.5- 2.2m at NW). The outer wall-face is generally built of regular, roughly coursed blocks. Where visible on the SE and SW sides, the inner wall-face is made of smaller, less regular stones. Tumble from the wall obscures the lower part of the inner wall-face. There is a modern gap in the wall at ENE. A later wall is built over the outer wall-face of the cashel. The E half of the interior slopes gently to the S, while the W half slopes to the W.
