What is recorded here

On rocky ground with some hazel scrub and some patches of rough pasture. Noted by Tom Coffey in 1994 (SMR file) at IG 12695, 18540/ITM 526916, 695436. Listed as ‘Megalithic quarry’ in the RMP (1996). This possible prehistoric quarry is marked only by a single firmly set upright stone slab (H 0.95m; Wth 1.1m; T 0.1m) in an area with some flat sheets of exposed crag bedrock.
