Situated immediately S of the entrance passage to the inner enclosure at Cahercommaun (CL010-064003-). Interpreted by Hencken (1938, 2; Structure 1) as a guardhouse. A passageway to the E (Structure 2) is likely to be a passageway giving access to the guardroom (Cotter 1999, 67-8). Cahercommaun is a national monument in State care.
