On a gentle E-facing slope in improved pasture. Described by Westropp (1907, 461) as fallen. Recorded as CL. 41 by De Valera and Ó Nualláin (1961, 36) who also supply a plan and photograph. No visible surface trace of the monument was found on field inspection in 1999.
A second wedge tomb (CL006-056----) in Rannagh East stands c. 500m to the NNE and a third wedge tomb (CL006-057----) is located c. 565m to the NE in Termon townland.
