On an elevated plateau in pasture within an extensive multiperiod field system (CL009-001001-). A subcircular or plectrum-shaped enclosure (c. 100m N-S) significantly broader at S (c. 90m) than at N (c. 70m), reported to the National Monuments Service by Conn Herriott. The enclosure is visible on Digital Globe (2011-13) and is embedded in a particularly dense irregular field system. From N to SE there appears to be a second internal enclosing feature. There are a number of large internal subdivisions and contemporary field boundaries extend off the perimeter in many directions.
