At the edge of a plateau with a steep slope/cliff to the NE and E, and overlooking a turlough basin labelled ‘Loch an Líongáin’ on Robinson’s map (1977). Hachured on the 1842 and 1920 eds. of the OS 6-inch map. This poorly preserved almost circular cashel (ext. dims. 27m N-S; 26.6m E-W) is defined by the scant remains of a stone wall (Wth 1.6m at S; H 0.2-1.2m), mainly the outer wall-face which survives up to two courses high in places. It is heavily overgrown with blackthorn bushes and briars. There is some stone spill outside (Wth 1-3.7m; H 0.4-1.4m) the wall but very little inside it. There is a souterrain (CL009-110002-) in the SE quadrant of the interior. An enclosure (CL009-243----) lies c. 125m to the WSW.
